at Western Whale Research in Australia
We require a qualified person for a 5 week swing off the Kimberley Coast from around Sept 18-20th, 2010 with a mobilisation out of either Broome in Western Australia or Darwin in the Northern Territory, Australia. There is potential for further work to at least January 2011.
Having a passion for the ocean and particularly cetaceans is very important, as is a science degree (ideally marine science) with the ability to communicate with the ship's personnel and record data accurately and concisely. You will need Offshore survival and Huet qualifications and to be familiar with the Australian EPBC Act Policy Statement 2.1: The guidelines for the interaction between whales and offshore seismic.
