Job Summary: Oversees the daily operation of the Specialist staff and animal collection. The Director teaches the staff how to provide healthy and sanitary living conditions and proper nutrition for the animals. Teaches effective proactive behavior management and maintains animal behavior through enrichment training. Assist the department management, Senior Director and Vice President as needed.
Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Animal Training Management Techniques with emphasis on proactive behavior management as it pertains to employee, guest and animal safety. Oversees quality of the core product and its elements on a daily basis including direct involvement with challenge and solution methods. This involves in depth interdepartmental relations. Exceptional use of time management techniques and advanced schedule making abilities for staff and animals. Cumulative experience in order to be at this level – approx. 8 years
