Sea Watch has the largest and longest running marine mammal sightings database in Europe. With quantities of data being received weekly, we are always looking for volunteers interested to get involved in the maintenance of our national sightings network. As well as our online sightings reporting system, Sea Watch also receives a great deal of reports on paper and electronically (in Excel, text files or Word documents). We are looking for volunteers to help us transfer these data onto a standardised template compatible with our national database. In so doing, they will learn all aspects of database entry and management, a valuable skill for anyone interested in a career in marine mammal research, and worth putting on your CV! However, this role does require strong attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy. The task can be undertaken at times to suit the volunteer, but please only apply if you are prepared to commit a minimum of ten hours to it.

JOB IS EXPIRED.
